The Profound Treasury Retreat

The Profound Treasury Retreat is based on the teachings of the venerable Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and taught by Judy Lief. She is the editor of the extensive three-volume set, The Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma, which gives a penetrating overview of the three-yana journey from beginning to end. Over the years, the retreat and the sangha have evolved and matured. Retreats have been held in Maine and in Colorado. See also Profound Treasury West.

The Wisdom Seat

The Wisdom Seat is a group of Buddhist teachers and practitioners residing in the mid-Atlantic region who host and sponsor spiritual teachers. Drawing on the profound view of the Rimé tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, the Wisdom Seat seeks to cultivate authentic and sustained relationships between teachers and students of authentic Buddhist traditions.

A Place to Sit

Located in Boulder, Colorado, A Place to Sit is dedicated to the sitting practice of meditation, as taught by Buddha Shakyamuni 2,500 years ago. The doors are open to all, of whatever orientation, background and belief system. Even though we have the practice of meditation as a gift from the Buddha, at the same time it is just a tool, which may be used by anyone, and does not require Buddhist affiliation.

Dharma Ocean

Dharma Ocean is the translation of Chögyam Trungpa’s Tibetan teaching name, Chökyi Gyatso, and reflects our core mission of transmitting Trungpa Rinpoche’s living lineage in the modern context.

Rimé Society

The Ri-mé Society [Ri-mé: non-sectarian, unbiased] is dedicated to the study, preservation, and continuation of the teachings and practices of Vajrayana Buddhism. Ri-mé Society provides talks, seminars, classes, and group practices for those seeking an introduction to the Buddhist teachings as well as for experienced practitioners.
